Global SAP ECC Transformation on Azure Cloud
Business Challenge
Data Silos & Inefficiencies:
Limited visibility into consolidated financials, inventory, and compliance across regions.
Regulatory Complexity:
Country-specific tax, legal, language, and healthcare compliance requirements across Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Integration Gaps:
Regional systems required custom integrations with Oracle Fusion, slowing business processes.
Scalability Limits:
Legacy processes constrained global rollout capabilities and future growth.
Transformation Objectives
ERP System Consolidation:
Replace Oracle Fusion with SAP ECC as the enterprise-wide ERP system.
Global Standardization:
Leverage the U.S. SAP ECC implementation as a global template for consistent processes and master data.
Cost Savings:
Reduce licensing, support, and overhead costs by retiring redundant systems.
Future-Readiness:
Establish a scalable Azure Cloud foundation and prepare for SAP S/4HANA migration.
Solution Approach
Global Template & Fit-Gap Analysis:
Conducted design workshops to create a global SAP ECC template from the U.S. instance and performed fit-gap analysis for Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Data Migration from Oracle Fusion:
Developed data conversion templates, executed 3–5 migration cycles, and partnered with local IT teams for data cleansing and readiness.
SAP ECC Implementation Scope:
Implemented SD, FICO, MM, PP, QM, LE, Credit Management, Fixed Assets, Security, PI/PO, BODS, and BOBJ.
Regional Integrations:
Connected SAP ECC with 40+ systems including WMS, Global Trade, OneStream, Concur, and compliance tools.
Training & Change Management:
Delivered Train-the-Trainer support with English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese enablement, plus structured UAT and workshops.
Go-Live & Hypercare:
Conducted mock cutovers and dress rehearsals, followed by go-live on Azure Cloud and two weeks of hypercare before AMS transition.
